About us.
C’mon was formed in 2023 from a chance meeting between two golfers in a competition at Stoke by Nayland golf club in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
After a hard fought competition and some drinks in the clubhouse afterwards, they realised they had both become frustrated with the current clothing available to the golfing world.
While there are plenty of artificial plastic shirts, caps and socks, there is nothing in the market place promising to limit their effect on the environment. A new company with sustainability at its heart, using natural materials and combining eco-friendlyness with the desire to excel, seemed like something they had to make happen.
Founders.
Simon
Simon has been playing golf for more years than he cares to remember, starting at age 5 when his father, tasked with looking after him on a Saturday golf day, handed him a 7 iron to hit down the fairway. 20 shots later he was hooked. More recently, after a long break from serious golf due to family, work and life, he joined Stoke by Nayland with a determination to see how good he could get. 5 years later he is a 7 handicap, which isn’t bad, but somewhat short of his dreams to get through the Open qualifying and take a surprise win!
For the last few years, he has been making increasing efforts to buy only products that are friendly to the environment and has been more and more frustrated that there seem to be no golf products that cater for this vital sector, apart from bamboo tees. Meeting Tom and founding the company is his big chance to do something to help.
Tom
Tom, like Simon has long had a keen interest in golf both off and on the course, whether it be a desire to become the next PGA tour player, or to find the right outfit which looks and feels great.
Tom has realised that he lacks the one key ingredient needed to get a PGA Tour card - talent - and so looking great on and off the course is his only option.
Not being able to find comfort, looks and sustainability in golf clothing, Tom has teamed up with Simon to create this new company and make this available to everyone.
After suffering a serious neck injury and finding the self-motivation to overcome this, the brand idea of C’mon has come to life. In times of adversity picking yourself up with a quiet or loud shout of ‘C’mon’ helps in all walks of life.
C’mon was born from these three founding principles.
Passion
Passion for golf is what brought the two founders, Simon and Tom, together. Their shared passion for golf while having fun and laughing a lot is matched by a their love for the natural world and a desire to do something to make the world just a little bit better.
